Dream interpreter Dream Explanation — In a dream, a dream interpreter represents happiness for a sad person and sorrow for a happy person. If one who desires to maintain secrecy around his life and goals sees a dream interpreter in his dream, it means that he will find an intimate friend or a confidant to complete his intention. If one is expecting news from an associate or if someone in a different land sees a dream interpreter in his dream, it means that he will receive the desired news. A dream interpreter in a dream also represents knowledge of sings, deciphering messages, analyzing substances, a tracer, a religious scholar, a lawyer, a good advisor, a compassionate friend, a judge or a physician. A dream interpreter in a dream also represents someone who does not keep a secret or someone who brings people both happy or sad news. In a dream, he is also a preacher, an advisor, one who balances things, a money changer, a garment cleaner, an undertaker, a barber, a comedian, a news broadcaster or someone who searches for people’s faults. Incident Dream Explanation — It is related that Ameerul_Mumineen, Mansoor, dreamt that he had lost all his teeth. In the morning he called for an interpreter. The interpreter came and after listening to the dram, said to Mansoor: “All your relatives will die.” Upon this, Mansoor became infuriated, saying : “May Allah lock your mouth! May He never let your interpretation become a reality! Now be gone!”. The another interpreter was called who fortunately was familiar with courtly protocols. He said: “O Ameerul-Mumineen, you will live for a long time. You will be the last to die amongst your relatives”. Highly delighted with his tactful interpretation, the Ameerul-Mumineen laughed, remarking: “both interpretations are the same, but the manner employed by you is more superior and excellent!” He then presented him ten Thousand Dirhams as a gift.

Incident Dream Explanation — It is related that Al-Mustanjid Billah son of Al-Muqtafi saw during his father’s life a dream in which an angel descended and wrote four times the Arabic letter ‘H’ in the palm of his hand. When Al-Mustanjid woke up, he told the dream to an interpreter who replied: “You will receive the Caliphate from your father in the year five hundred fifty-five, and already five months and five days have passed.” Al-Mustanjid became the Caliph as foretold by the dream interpreter.

Fortuneteller Dream Explanation — (Magic practice; Medium; Prophecies) If a Fortuneteller sees himself gathering white sand in his dream, it means profiting from his trade. She said to me: ‘May God grant you a long life. Your father has passed away.’ Then she took me to his grave, and I fell on it, crying and wailing, exactly as I saw in my dream. Thus, my friend’s interpretation did not come true, for he has no hand in it.”
