Dua No. 1

Evening Dua for protecting him from evils

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, He gives life and causes death and He is over all things omnipotent.”Ten times is like the one who had freed four souls from among the children of Ismaa’eel.

[In another narration: “who ever says it after Maghrib prayer, Allah will send guardians (i.e. angels) to protect him (or her) from Shaytan until the morning, and will gain ten rewards and get ten bad deeds wiped off of his record”]
*Supplicate ten times in the evening (after the Asr or Maghrib) and in the morning (after Fajr prayers)

Dua No. 2

Evening Dua better evening and safe from evil

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ ولَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.

رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهَا ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهَا.

رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ.

TranslationWe have reached the evening and at this very time unto Allah belongs all sovereignty, and all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is capable of all things.

My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what follows it and I seek refuge with You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it.My Lord, I seek refuge with You from laziness and senility. My Lord, I seek refuge with You from torment in the Fire and the torment in the grave.

Note: (al-masa-a) translated as evening refers to the time after the Asr prayer until the sun sets, however some scholars say that it refers to the time after the sun sets and onwards.


rabbi as’aluka khayra maa fee haadhi-hil-laylati wa khayra maa ba‛dahaa, wa a‛oodhu bika min sharri haadhi-hil-laylati wa sharri maa ba‛dahaa,Rabbi a‛oodhu bika minal-kasali wa soo’il-kibari, rabbi a‛oodhu bika min ‛adhaabin fin-naari wa ‛adhaabin fil-qabr.


Dua No. 3

Evening Dua for safe us till sun rises

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا ، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

Note: (Assabah) translated as morning refers to the time after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises.(al-masa-a) translated as evening refers to the time after the Asr prayer until the sun sets, however some scholars say that it refers to the time after the sun sets and onwards.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

“O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your slave and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best as I can, I seek refuge with You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.”(The prophet then) said: “If somebody says it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody says it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”

Dua No. 5

Evening Dua for Good Health and Seek better Sustenance

اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي ، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي ، اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ ، وَالْفَقْرِ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from disbelief and poverty, and I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be worshipped except You. (three times)
Allaahumma innee a‛oodhu bika minal-kufri, wal-faqri, wa a‛oodhu bika min ‛adhaabil-qabri, laa ilaaha illaa ant (3x)


Dua No. 6

Evening Dua for Well being

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي ، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي

اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي ، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي ، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي ، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي

O Allah, preserve me from the front and from behind and from my right and from my left and from above, and I seek refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth.
Allaahummaḥ-faẓnee min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfee, wa ‛an yameenee, wa ‛an shimaalee, wa min fawqee, wa a‛oodhu bi-‛aẓamatika an ughtaala min taḥtee.

Dua No. 7

Evening Dua for seek refuge from evil

اللَّهُمَّ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ، رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ ،أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَرِفَ عَلَى نَفْسِي سُوءًا أَوْ أَجُرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِمٍ

Dua No. 8

Evening Dua for Nothing shall harm him

(بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (ثلاث مرات

“In the name of Allah, by whose name nothing can cause harm neither on earth nor in the heaven and He is The All-Hearing, The All-Knowing.” (three times)
Nothing shall harm him’


Dua No. 9

Evening Dua for Protection from any evil

(أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (ثلاث مرات

Note: Whoever says this du’a in the evening, nothing shall harm him/her until dawn.

Dua No. 10

Evening Dua for Praise to Allah

(سُبْحَانَ اللهِ (ثلاثا وثلاثين

(الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ (ثلاثا وثلاثين

(اللهُ أَكْبَرُ (أربعا وثلاثين

How far from imperfections Allah is. (thirty-three times)

All praise is for Allah. (thirty-three times)

Allah is the greatest. (thirty-four times)

…for that is indeed better for you both than a servant.”


Transliteration:
al-ḥamdu lillaah (33x)
allaahu akbar (34x)



Our Lord! Forgive us our sins as well as those of our brethren who proceeded us in faith and let not our hearts entertain any unworthy thoughts or feelings against [any of] those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness and Most Merciful (59:10)
