Chapter 7 – Duas for Protection during War or Adversity, from the Enemy

Dua # 1 – Sura Ale Imran – Ayah # 147.

3.147: And their saying was no other than that they said: Our Lord! forgive us our faults and our extravagance in our affair and make firm our feet and help us against the unbelieving people.

Dua # 2 – Sura Mu-minun – Ayah # 28.

23.28: And when you are firmly seated, you and those with you, in the ark, say: All praise is due to Allah who delivered us from the unjust people:

Dua # 3 – Sura Baqra – Ayat 249 & 250.

2.249: So when Talut departed with the forces, he said: Surely Allah will try you with a river; whoever then drinks from it, he is not of me, and whoever does not taste of it, he is surely of me, except he who takes with his hand as much of it as fills the hand; but with the exception of a few of them they drank from it. So when he had crossed it, he and those who believed with him, they said: We have today no power against Jalut and his forces. Those who were sure that they would meet their Lord said: How often has a small party vanquished a numerous host by Allah’s permission, and Allah is with the patient.
2.250: And when they went out against Jalut and his forces they said: Our Lord, pour down upon us patience, and make our steps firm and assist us against the unbelieving people.

Dua # 4 – Sura Nisaa Ayah # 75.

4.75: And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper.

Dua # 5 – Sura Yunus – Ayat 85 & 86.

10.85: So they said: On Allah we rely: O our Lord! make us not subject to the persecution of the unjust people:
10.86: And do Thou deliver us by Thy mercy from the unbelieving people.

Dua # 6 – Sura Qasas – Ayah # 21.

28.21: So he went forth therefrom, fearing, awaiting, (and) he said: My Lord! deliver me from the unjust people.

Dua # 7 – Sura Ankabut – Ayat # 30.

29.30: He said: My Lord! help me against the mischievous people.

Dua # 8 – Sura Ta-Ha (20) – Ayat 45 & 46.

20.45: Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate.
20.46: He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see.

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins as well as those of our brethren who proceeded us in faith and let not our hearts entertain any unworthy thoughts or feelings against [any of] those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness and Most Merciful (59:10)
