Chapter 14 – Duas by Children for parents

Dua # 1 – Sura Bani Israil (17) – Ayah 24.

17.24: And make yourself submissively gentle to them with compassion, and say: O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up (when I was) little.

Dua # 2 – Sura Ahqaf (46) – Ayah # 15.

46.15: And We have enjoined on man doing of good to his parents; with trouble did his mother bear him and with trouble did she bring him forth; and the bearing of him and the weaning of him was thirty months; until when he attains his maturity and reaches forty years, he says: My Lord! grant me that I may give thanks for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do good which pleases Thee and do good to me in respect of my offspring; surely I turn to Thee, and surely I am of those who submit.

Dua # 3 – Sura Nuh (71) – Ayah # 28.

71.28: My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the unjust in aught but destruction!

Chapter 15 – Duas for Divine help when trying to prove one’s innocence or point of view.

Dua # 1 – Sura Anfal (8/8) – Ayah # 8.

8.8: That He may manifest the truth of what was true and show the falsehood of what was false, though the guilty disliked.

Dua # 2 – Sura Yusuf (12) – Ayah 77.

12.77: They said: If he steal, a brother of his did indeed steal before; but Yusuf kept it secret in his heart and did not disclose it to them. He said: You are in an evil condition and Allah knows best what you state.

Dua # 3 – Sura Rad (13) – Ayah # 43.

13.43: And those who disbelieve say: You are not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you and whoever has knowledge of the Book.

Dua # 4 – Sura Ankabut (29) – Ayah # 52.

29.52: Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you; He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. And (as for) those who believe in the falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, these it is that are the losers.

Dua # 5 – Sura Ahqaf (46) – Ayah #8.

46.8: Nay! they say: He has forged it. Say: If I have forged it, you do not control anything for me from Allah; He knows best what you utter concerning it; He is enough as a witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

Dua # 6 – Sura Ta-Ha (20) – Ayats 25 thru 28.

20.25: He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me,
20.26: And make my affair easy to me,
20.27: And loose the knot from my tongue,
20.28: (That) they may understand my word;

Dua # 7 – Sura Ambiyah (21(112) – Ayah # 112.

21.112: He said: O my Lord! judge Thou with truth; and our Lord is the Beneficent God, Whose help is sought against what you ascribe (to Him).

Dua # 8a – Sura Mu-minun (23) – Ayah # 26.

23.26: He said: O my Lord! help me against their calling me a liar.

Dua # 8b – Sura Mu-minun (23) – Ayah # 39.

23.39: He said: O my Lord! help me against their calling me a liar.

Dua # 9 – Sura Shu’araa (26) – Ayats 12 thru 14.

26.12: He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me;
26.13: And by breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me);
26.14: And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me.



Our Lord! Forgive us our sins as well as those of our brethren who proceeded us in faith and let not our hearts entertain any unworthy thoughts or feelings against [any of] those who have believed. Our Lord! You are indeed full of kindness and Most Merciful (59:10)
